Every 2021 Chevrolet Equinox is outfitted with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

All 2021 Equinox SUVs come standard with a front-wheel-drive system, but all can be upgraded with the available all-wheel-drive system. This drivetrain is switchable, which allows you to disconnect it to focus on fuel efficiency or engage extra traction when it's raining or snowing. The automatic engine stop/start feature lets your engine shut off at red lights to conserve fuel. You can take control over your transmission through the steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
