The 2022 Silverado offers four engine options. Chevy also offers a 5.5-liter V-8 with an eight-speed automatic transmission that produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Next, a 6.2-liter V-8 with a 10-speed automatic transmission puts out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission to produce 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The range of engines and off-road packages allows the Silverado to handle any task. It can haul a maximum of 13,300 pounds, depending on trim level. The ZR2 package offers 33-inch off-road tires, large underbody skid plates, front and rear electronic locking differential, and a front bumper to provide further clearance off the trail. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while an available four-wheel drive system is offered, allowing you to handle any weather and road conditions you may encounter. Save money at the pump with the diesel engine, which gets an EPA-estimated 23 mpg city and 33 mpg highway driving.
Interior
In contrast to the rugged exterior, the 2022 Silverado offers a welcoming, comfortable interior design.
