Hiking Black Creek Nature Trail Hiking Black Creek Nature Trail at Jack Abernathy Regional Park at 402 Dayton St. is one of the best things to do in Davison. This trail is 6.4 miles out and back, and it is considered easy despite its distance because there is a mere 55-foot elevation gain you must contend with. One of the best things about this trail is that it is wheelchair-friendly, so you should have no trouble pushing a stroller down some or all of it. Additionally, due to the significant tree cover and passing by the lake and creek, you will love this trail as a birder. 2. After winding through the woods for 1.6 miles, this nature trail ends at Davison Township Municipal Center. 2. Besides hiking, we love coming to Richfield County Park for: Dog walking Biking Bird watching 3. Applewood Trail We also love parking at Kearsley Park south of Ohio Avenue at Kearsley Park Boulevard to access Applewood Trail. This trail has a lot more to offer than its 1.8 mile length suggests. It follows Gilkey Creek until it meets the river, and you can stop and rest at Dayton Park if you want to. This is also a great trail for biking; if you follow this trail as far north as it goes, you will be able to access the Flint River Trail system. One of the most popular trails here is the Bay City-Tobico Marsh Trail. It features two four-story observation points that provide great views of the Tobico Marsh. The Bay City-Andersen Nature Trail is also popular. The Davison area is full of great trails for hiking, but you need a reliable vehicle to access them. We love the glass galleries at the institute, and the contemporary ceramics are also very impressive. As well as its fine permanent collection, the institute also hosts regular guest exhibitions of artworks from around the world, so there is always a reason to pay a return visit. The planetarium has a number of different shows, which last approximately 45 minutes each. As you would expect, many shows feature the wonders of the night sky, but there are also sci-fi, fantasy, and documentary presentations. Longway Planetarium also puts on a spectacular laser light show, and the trivia nights are enjoyed by visitors of all ages. You can purchase an intergalactic souvenir of your visit from the planetarium's gift shop. The Longway Planetarium can be found at 1310 E Kearsley St. Sloan Museum of Discovery The Sloan Museum of Discovery is located across the road from its sister organization, the Longway Planetarium, which makes it easy to combine a visit to both. Each one has its own individual character. We love the interactive, hands-on nature of the exhibits here, which will appeal to younger members of your family.
