Just like previous models, the 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD is out-selling its competitors left and right with its stellar performance, high-tech features, and rugged exterior. We’re breaking down four of the biggest reasons drivers love the new Chevrolet Silverado 2500 right here!

4 Reasons Drivers Love the 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD

1. 6.6-Liter Engine Options

You have two engine options for the Silverado 2500 HD, including the standard 6.6L V8 gas engine. This engine creates 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. To increase your truck’s power, you can upgrade to an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine that puts forth 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm and 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm with a maximum towing capacity of 22,070 pounds on the 2500 crew cab model.

2. Chevy Trailering Package

The Chevy Trailering Package makes towing easier than ever in your new Silverado 2500 HD. Chevrolet’s Trailering Package includes the following features:

  • A trailer hitch
  • A trailering hitch platform
  • A 2.5″ receiver hitch
  • 4-pin and 7-pin connectors
  • A 7-wire electrical harness

Hitch Guidance is another feature in the Chevy Trailering Package. Hitch Guidance uses a rear vision camera to obtain an image of your trailer and hitch. When attaching the trailer to the hitch, Hitch Guidance shows a digital alignment guideline on a display screen in your Silverado’s cabin.

3. Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System

Connect a compatible smartphone to the Silverado 2500 using the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. This system comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two smartphone integration systems that can pair your phone to the truck in a matter of minutes. Once you’ve synced your phone with the Silverado, use voice recognition technology to make hands-free phone calls or send text messages from behind the wheel.

4. Cargo Versatility

The new Chevy Silverado 2500 has great cargo versatility, with several storage options both inside and outside the truck. Under the front bench seat, there’s a built-in cargo compartment for tools, umbrellas, or a spare pair of boots. In crew cab and double cab models, there’s a rear bench seat with seat bottoms that you can fold up to create storage space on your floor.

Every Silverado 2500 comes with a Chevrolet Durabed for exterior cargo. The Durabed is made with high-strength roll-formed steel that makes it tougher than the most abrasive materials. Inside the Durabed, there are twelve cargo tie-downs for securing large items in place.
